Moving on...
Yesterday, I ran several errands around town. One of these errands included picking up my monogramming machine!! YAY she's finally fixed!! I'm so excited about some upcoming projects. Don't fret, I will keep you all informed of my projects as well as the pictures. Other errands consisted of going to a pumpkin patch where I found some gorgeous white pumpkins. Why white you ask? I LOVE the look of the white pumpkins, plus my heart goes out to the little guys. After all, most people go for the nice, big, orange pumpkins! The white ones need a home too ya know. I also stopped by the Holly Ridge Hardware Store just down the street from us and picked up a bell of hay and the prettiest Mum you have ever seen! Here is a picture of what I did with these items:

Pumpkins- 2 for $5
Bell of Hay-$4
Mum-$5

=Quite the bargain for some fall decor!

I also went to a place called Doug's Salvage where I purchased an old bookshelf for $20. I plan on putting it in my kitchen to hold my cookbooks. Here are the before and after pictures.

I absolutely love how it turned out!

Here is a picture of it in my dining room:

Who needs brand new when you can buy old/used and fix it up to your expectations! It's fun and you are guaranteed to get exactly what you are looking for! A lot of people use the excuse of "I'm not creative enough", you don't have to be creative to paint a wooden bookshelf a solid color. Just give it a try, whatever it may be! Check out your nearby neighborhood yard sales, Goodwill, etc. for great bargains.
