Productivity

After sleeping in until 11:00 a.m., I decided it was best to get my butt out of bed and do something. So, I went to lunch with a dear friend of mine who I met here in NC. We went to a little bakery on the beach called "Just Baked"...it's the cutest little bakery and they have amazing food! I ordered the caesar salad and a bacon tomato grilled cheese sandwich....ahhhhmmmaaaazzzzinnnggg!

As you can tell from the photos I have uploaded of the house, we have a decently sized deck as our front porch. So, Clif and I decided to put our tiki torches on the porch and bring the grill up there. Since our grill is not protected , I had to go get a grill cover- I actually picked a grill cover with the right dimensions for our grill (I had neglected to measure it myself). I also picked up the supplies for my project of the day. We have an old wooden chair that use to be a rocking chair but no longer has the rocker portion of it. haha. It was free so it doesn't matter, it's still a cute chair that had potential in my eyes. It use to be white, but eventually got covered in layers of dirtyness. So, I decided to fix it up and paint it so I could enjoy it. I'm considering putting it on the deck outside our bedroom. I have this whole vision that I will actually wake up to one of 10 alarms I have set for myself, make a cup of coffee, and have my quiet time out on the deck. We shall see how this plan works out! The before and after pictures are posted below:

"Shallow Pool"+Sander+Paint Brush+Paint Tray=$20

It's hard to tell, but the chair has an antique look to it. After sanding it down, I painted a couple of coats of the paint. Once it dried, I sanded it down here and there to give it a rustic/antique look. I love how it turned out. The best part, is it only cost me $20 for the whole thing...and since the chair was free, I considered it to be quite the bargain.

I'm now on the look out for a new project to work on. So, if anyone has ideas, please feel free to comment on this post and share!

I still have a room available for the first two weeks in November free to whomever wants to come visit me!! SOMEONE COME VISIT ME!!!
