Just Another Manic Monday (for Clif)

Greetings my faithful followers!! SO much to tell you all to bring you up to speed with our fascinating life!

I'll start with Friday...

Friday, I hung out with Christy and her kids during the day. We began our day at the good ol' Panera Bread

Felt like I was back at home

After lunch, we headed to the mall to do some Fall clothes shopping. I found many bargains including new dark brown boots for the Fall season! I'm stoked!! After hours of shopping around, we took the kids on the Carosel (sp.?). It's been years since I've been on a carosel, but apparently now they make them two-story. So, we rode on the top story of course! It's the little things that excite kids...

After the carousel, we took the kids to the play area of the mall to reward them for tagging along on a shopping trip. Let me remind you, they are all under the age of 5, it was much deserved.

Saturday:

Saturday, we woke up and had coffee on the balcony, which lasted for 2 minutes for me (it was burning up outside+coffee=me sweating). Clif had informed me the night before that he had TWO surprises for me! With that said, we ventured into Wilmington to begin the day.

Surprise One:

Meet 'Pearl'

We went to Try Sports in the Mayfair Shopping Center to get myself a bike. Clif loves to bike, but hasn't been able to in a long time because of me. I'm needy and want to spend time with him when he's not working. So problem fixed! We can now have this hobby together! I'm so excited to have a hobby with Clif. I don't know if you have looked at the picture close enough to see just how skinny those tires are, hence my biggest challenge. Let's just put it this way, my middle name is not grace. We look forward to spending our Saturday mornings riding along the beach or on base! Clif also found some running shoes, I'll let you know what he names them.

 Surprise Two:

No picture available at the moment. Clif decided to find a place to get my Monogramming machine fixed!! SO excited about this! I have been dying to monogram for quite some time now. We went to Fran's Sewing Circle and met Fran herself. It was quite an honor to meet the one who would be operating on my poor baby. Fran said that it would be at least two weeks before she would be ready for pick up. According to Fran, she is "swamped"...I'd love to know what "swamped" is to her. Anyways, I am counting down the days! I have a few projects in mind that I would like to get started on. I will post a picture of her when I get her back, don't worry!

After Try Sports and Fran's, we went to grab lunch at...
Five Guys

This was my first time eating at Five Guys, and definitely won't be my last. The food was great! They also overload you on the best french fries ever created. A little shoutout to BETH DuBOIS: How could you go get McDonald's french fries after Five Guys? I'm disappointed. haha.

After lunch, we headed home to get ready to go over to a friend's house for some football! The Cunninghams had us over for the South Carolina/Auburn game. I was highly disappointed in South Carolina for two reasons. One: I'm not the the biggest Auburn fan ;  Two: I had 35 cents on them winning. Don't worry, I didn't bet real money. Clif got me hooked on this website called www.centsports.com . You start out with 10 cents and work your way up winning bets, for those of you who don't know. It really gets me hyped up for game days! Speaking of football, hoorah Alabama for another win, a close game, but a win is a win. And how about those Indianapolis Colts??

Here we are in our Gameday Jerseys!

Sunday, we tried out a new church, First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. We liked it a lot but we're still going to try some other churches in the area. After church, we returned home for NFL Sunday to cheer on our Colts.

As for today, Clif had to go back to work and begin another week at New River. We found out that my cousin Jim, who is at Camp Geiger on New River, has 'Liberty' today. So, we had the opportunity to have dinner with him on base this evening. I was super excited to see him.

We had dinner at one of the finest restaurants on base, Wendy's. We only had about 45 minutes with him, so fast food was the only way to go. It was great to talk to him and catch up on all he's been doing during his training here. It's hard to believe that he's been in the same city as me and on the same base as Clif but we have not been allowed to hang out because he was not allowed 'Liberty' until today. He has another graduation tomorrow morning and then he will hopefully be heading to Pensacola sometime soon for more training.

For those of you who read my last post, you know I fixed up and painted an old chair. My intention was to put it outside on our balcony, however I might have found a better "cuter" place for it. I originally just brought it inside to protect the chair as it was finishing drying.

Besides Christmas, Fall is my second favorite season.

Things I love about fall:
  • Wearing boots with skinny jeans
  • Fall scented candles
  • Colors
  • Weather
  • Fall Festivities
  • The crisp air outside
  • Football on the weekends with friends
  • Changing leaves

Leaves are starting to turn!! :))
Be jealous Beth DuBois, I told you I would send you a picture. If you want, I can send you some leaves in the mail...I have enough for you to even put some in your school store! Let me know what you think.

Well I think that about wraps it up!

Have I mentioned how much I love this man? I'm so in love with him and am so excited about our journies in life together! :)
